About Us
Blooming Imagination is a small, family-owned business that focuses on providing high-quality, hand-crafted, open-ended toys and educational materials to young minds. We are Hugo and Paula, a husband and wife business team inspired by our two spirited and creative daughters, Luna and Mia, to share their love of learning and playing with kids everywhere. Hugo, a former volunteer firefighter turned full time dad and craftsman, carves each toy special for your child. Paula, an ICU nurse and devoted mama paints and finishes each unique toy with a little fun and flare.
Our passion for this company started after our first daughter Luna was born. As new parents, we were delighted in sharing new experiences with Luna and watching her learn and grow through meaningful play. Together, we combined our love of crafting, woodworking, and parenting to create fun and educational toys and memories with our wonderful, crazy girl. Luna loves physical challenges and was trying to jump before she could even walk. She also loves animals, especially ocean animals. This is where we got our inspiration to create our ocean animal stepping stones, which are by far Luna’s favorite Blooming Imagination toy.
Three years and many struggles later, we were blessed with our second daughter Mia, whose favorite pastime is mouthing EVERYTHING. E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. That’s why it’s also important to us that our products are made with high quality, non toxic, safe, natural elements, no exceptions, for all the Mias out there. Safety is as essential as fun.
We look forward to sharing this exciting new chapter of our lives with you and hope that our creativity and passion brings you as much joy as it does us. Our goal is to help children learn and play with high quality, kid-friendly materials that will stimulate their minds and their imaginations. We believe that our realistic looking toys and learning materials will help children to better understand the world around us and stimulate their imagination as they use and play with their new favorite toy.
Amazing Nursery Decor
I purchased a growth chart and the blooming calendar for my twin girls’ nursery. The growth chart is awesome as I can disassemble it and take it with me if we ever move. No leaving the measurements behind! And it was etched and painted to match the wilderness theme of our nursery perfectly. I can’t wait until my girls are old enough to learn their months and seasons with the calendar too! The paints are gorgeous. I couldn’t have asked for better, more beautiful, or more functional decorations!

My daughter loves to play with the wooden stepping stones. They are beautifully made, and the foam underneath adheres to the floor and makes it safe with no sliding whatsoever!

I’ve received a few items from this company and they are the best! Recently I got the play dough rollers and use them with a class of 22. These are used at a station, where they are dropped, kicked, used and overused daily. They have held up beautifully! They’re amazing quality like the rest of their stuff.
